It’s an East Side Estate Sale Weekend. YAY!!

It’s been far to long since we had a proper Los Angeles estate sale and thanks to a long time client with exceptional taste we’ll be hitting up the east side (Valley Village/North Hollywood) this coming Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And we’re so excited about all the goods packed inside this entertainer’s bungalow.

There’s a mix of vintage and contemporary items and the vibe is eclectic modern with some fantastic Mid-Century Modern pieces; I’m having trouble deciding which is my favorite with a strong teeter toward the John Keal for Brown Saltman credenza (pictured). The other’s being a Hans Wegner Secretaire and Paul Frankl for Brown Saltman dresser and side table set. The artwork is a great mix of high and low, and there’s some nice studio pottery, ahem, I only have eyes for the gorgeous Raymor table lamp (pictured).

You’ll also find stuff you need!! Think brand spanking new kitchen blenders (Ninja/Vitamix), funky blue Kitchenaid mixer, glassware, serve ware, and jewelry of course… Crate & Barrel sofa!?

Check out the North Hollywood Estate Sale listing page for more details. Photos and information to be updated by Thursday.

A Vintage Collector’s Trove

This weekend we’re in Venice, California for an estate sale that promises to bring vintage collector’s to their knees. This little home close to Lincoln Ave and Venice Blvd is filled to the max, over-flowing to the outdoors. And the clothing finds ranging all the way back to the Victorian period are beautiful, unique treasures; hats, shoes, dresses, children’s clothing, racks and tables full! It was the number one hoard of this house!

Our client’s mother was a seamstress with a love for vintage clothing (before it was cool!) that developed into a fashion show she called “Fashion through the Years” and was narrated by her while family members and local gal’s worked the cat walk in pieces from her vintage clothing collection. It was a totally local show through her PTA, Chamber of Commerce, and Woman’s clubs and became an annual fixture at the Venice Woman’s Club and Marina del Rey Chamber of Commerce. Seems the gal had style!

July 4th Weekend in Rancho PV

Rancho PV estate sale starts Saturday and ends Monday.

We’re not crazy enough to host an estate sale ON the 4th of July but it seems we are just crazy enough to host one over the weekend, and to extend it into Monday. I never really liked the idea of hosting an estate sale during a holiday weekend because I assume we won’t see as many of your friendly faces as we’re used to! Ya’ll proved that to be wrong when we hosted an amazing four day estate sale over Memorial Weekend in Palos Verdes Estates. I’m still thinking about all of the pretty things we sold over there!

This Saturday – Monday we’ll be in Rancho Palos Verdes celebrating our independence to choose to laboriously work over a holiday weekend, and we really hope to see a whole lot of you! This sale has turned out to be an estate sale we love being able to present; one with lust-worthy items in excellent vintage condition. In my opinion the note-worthy vintage items are naturally the hand-woven Persian rugs because they are things beauty and skill (and because I’m obsessed with them), but just as beautiful and skillful, though not my hoard of choice are the Victorian period quilts with provenance. The chairs and benches in this estate sale had me at first sight too!

Succor Estate Sales does a Sample Sale

I’m so excited for the estate sale (ahem… sample sale) we’re hosting this weekend in the Century City Towers. A couple of years ago we hosted a sale in this very same location for someone I completely adore, who also happens to have amazing style and is the designer of some really special handbags. Oh… she also designs a line of shoes! So when I got a call from Rhonda of Rhonda Ochs Handbags to host another sale for her, this time featuring a large line of her handbags and shoes in addition to some high-end Italian leather furniture she’s selling I go super excited!

Check out Rhonda’s designs here

As if it couldn’t get better Rhonda hooked us all up! She intro’d me to two jewelry lines that we get to feature in this same “sample” sale.

Isharya is a line of well priced costume jewelry that makes a bold statement. I’m so excited about these pieces for summer! They’ll look so good with my traditional uniform of jeans and t-shirt and because of the price point I won’t worry too much about wearing them with a swimsuit on the beaches of Capri this summer (yea, I’m a little jealous of myself too).

The other line we’re honored to feature is by Kristen Dorsey, a local crafts-woman who is an educated metalsmith using jewelry as a form of self-expression and a way to connect with her Native American heritage. All of the pieces are made by hand! Kristen’s jewelry has sold at gallery’s and even the Smithsonian. Guys, she’s amazing! She’s even a member of the Native Jewelers Society and she’s won a whole bundle of awards for her awesome designs. And you all get to buy some of these at really fair prices. Now, aren’t you lucky!!

All of this goes down this weekend, Saturday & Sunday from 9am – 3pm in Century City. Mark your calendars. Sign up for our email list if you’re not already on it. We’ll release the address this Thursday. And follow me on Instagram where I’ll be posting photos of the items to get you excited while I set up Wednesday and Thursday.

Designer Sample Sale

I’m so excited to share with you all the combo estate sale / sample sale we’re hosting in the Century City Towers at the end of June. I can’t let the cat-out-of-the-bag just yet on the design line but I can say that she’s a local designer who’s been getting busy! You can find her line in stores like Barney’s and Madison locally, and high-design shops around the world.

In addition to the amazing crocodile and leather handbags and shoes we’ll be selling for below wholesale prices, we’re also talking to other designers about bringing their stuff into this sale as well. If you know anyone with a great line of clothing, jewelry, or anything that might make a good addition please have them reach out to me at contact@succorestatesales.com ASAP!
